We had a 3010 gas and I can say that I had a similar feeling when that one got sold. That thing was nothing but problems from day one. We could never count on the thing to start up no matter how much time it spent at the Deere dealer. Finally decided that you just can't fix lemon.
Here's something that was really odd about our 3010. If you turned the steering wheel as you cranked on the starter, it would turn over much faster. The Deere mechanic told us to do it and said in his experience they were all like that.
On the other hand, the 4010 diesel has been a great machine. I had to replace the injector pump this spring, but other than that, it's been ol' faithful.
