I have a Pac-West (no longer in business)lower receiver in an AR-15 carbine that shoots okay. Think I bought it in 1986. Also have shot several Colts and I couldnīt tell any difference. Iīve had a Mini-14 since 1980 and like it alot more than the AR-15. Would rather shoot my Armscorp semi-auto M-14 than either of the .223s though. The thought of an AR-10 in .243 sounds interesting.....

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
