there were kerosene/distillate heads and the higher compression gas head available for the h, but i dont have a book that covers the casting numbers. as far as the mains, yup you can change em in the tractor. there is a tool that slips in the oil hole on the crank and catches the upper bearing half as you hand crank the motor over, it will walk the bearing out. looks kind of like a nail with a tee head, head thicknees is a little thinner than the bearing. a little time on the bench grinder you could fab something up. may start with a 16 penny nail.
