I guess what I mean is, that I would take a gamble on a long distance internet purchase for a rare tractor, but would not for a common tractor that i can buy a couple miles down the road. The last rare tractor I bought over the internet is 1100 miles away, after i sent him a check and it cleared he sent me a receipt saying that it was paid in full and he garauntees it to ride, drive, and if im not happy with it I can get my money back (all of it). With this tractor I did go ahead and paid the man what he wanted for it and did not try to get it at a lower price, and I think that is why he is treating me well.
