I don't know what you are into, but I am a college student myself and I like little day trips on weekends. I imagine your like me and don't have enough money as it is, so that makes doing things hard. To me, a car ride is great because everyone needs a break from studying. I like visiting other towns and just seeing the sights. The point I am making, is I would rather go anywhere for my sanity than get more stuff I didn't need. But if you are like me, you may or may not even be able to take the day off from homework. If she is in college too, then I'd see about going somewhere for her birthday if you can both get away.
