Hey my uncle has a cottage on Horseshoe Lake in Montcalm county. He had water up to the top of the beds in the cabin. I told him he had a cheap waterbed. Another 3" and the dock would have took out the windows as it floated past. My dad and I took a wagon up behind our pickup while the place was still flooded. We was carrying stuff out to the wagon and I discovered the mattresses would float so we used them as rafts to float the stuff out.
Too bad this rain didn't come a month ago to finish the corn and beans, even getting late for hay. I don't have a rain gauge but we have plenty of water now. Pool is over flowing and looking at some pails I'm guessing about 8" so far as of 5pm Sun. I'm 10miles SW of St Johns.
