Bad advise,I bought a new NEF 20 ga,20 inch barrel,modified choke for 88.00 tax included.The NEF has a hand cock action that makes it much safer that a double that is cocked when loaded.My uncle gave my son a Stevens 311 and an Ithaca double 40 years ago.I would insult his memory and his love for firearms if I cut them.I see the 311 selling for 400.00 at gun shows and the Ithaca selling for twice that amount.There are plenty of pump shotguns that will fit your needs for under 200.00.A sawed off double is a cop magnet..
