I have been evesdropping for awhile now.I have asked a couple questions that you have helped with. Now I feel I should let you know who your talking with.My name is Mike.I live in central michigan.I drive a public transit bus that provides door to door service county wide.I have a wife of 4 yrs.First marriage for both and no kids.We are middle aged.NOT YUPPIES! Working folk with working folk backgrounds.I am a tractor nut and my wife without being to encouraging is supportive.I own a 44 farmall H with a duall loader(I think).I also am just finishing a complete engine overhaul on a 1950 john deere B. This is my baby.My tractors are still in there work clothes.I believe in them being sound and able but not neccessarily in the finery. No objection to others as I like pretty tractors as well but mine are workers with not much work. I only live on an acre but am saving for more from the neighbor that is holding on to good health(he says)just so I have time to get some equity on my 4 yr old morgage to purchase some of his 3d generation owned ground.Till then I am settling for tractor rides through the farm land I love. My doing this feels corny but I think I like this site and am hoping to hang around for awhile.Wanted people to know who I am.After all if I was on the street and we talked I would introduce myself, right.

After Captain Cook's exploration of the east coast in 1770 the British Government decided to establish a penal colony in Australia. The first fleet arrived in 1788 and consisted mainly of convicts who were poorly equipped and new little of farming techniques. The colony remained far from self-supporting and it was not until the early 1800's that things started to improve.
