I doubt the horsepower would be a problem, just the ground speed. I bush hog with a Ford 641 with the 134 gas engine, and with my B275 IH with the 144 diesel. Both are just about exactly the same horsepower. Technically, the Ford 134 is a few horse more. With the IH, I run a five-foot King Kutter rear tiller in very hard ground and don't lack power. In new, very hard ground the engine gets pretty hot after a while, and in softer ground there's no problem at all. I tilled four acres this spring with it.
