2 years ago I replaced both origional maintence free batteries in my 1996 Ford F350 (with 20,000 miles) just because they were 10 years old ( still worked fine). I replaced them with 2 new Ford Maintence free batteries just like the origional. After driving a while or sitting say a week, the batteries vent out a very slight amount of liquid on the battery top and it sometimes leave a white residue. My truck is super clean, I just don't like the residue on the battery. Do I have a problem? Even though they are " Maintence Free", should I pop the caps and add some water? The origional batteries did the same, I just figured they were getting old. Thanks!
