I had a piece about the size of a 50 cent piece cut out between my upper lip and my nose, in 1998. It went as far down as the top of the lip, and touched the base of the nose. Had general anasthetic for a 2 hour plastic surgery to pull everything back together. I ended up with a scar that isn't too bad, and no feeling in that area. My smile is crooked! It was a Basal Cell Carcinoma, and hasn't shown signs of recurrence. Its nothing to mess around with. I wear a straw hat ALWAYS, in the sun. Cancer doc called it "Fairhaired Farmboy Syndrome," and said I'll be prone to getting more of them for the rest of my life.
