When I was 20, dad let me buy a brand new 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner, he had to co-sign for it and was very reluctant about doing it. So I bought it, it had the 383 cu. in. engine, rated at 335 hp, and Hurst 4 speed manual tranny. The only option it had on it was power steering. I paid $3200 for it. It was black with white seats and red dash, kinda goofy color combination. But over the years I have kept it and it still runs very strong. I did overhaul the engine back in '87 and I get it out every year for old time sake. Still have all the paper work for it. Took it on our honeymoon in '68, and still married after 40 years too.
