My first car I got when I was 13 was a 56 Ford 2 door post with a 6 cylinder motor.I blew up the 6 and put a 352 police intercepter motor in when I was 16.It had a round speedometer with a peg down in there past 120 at about where 140 would be if it went that high,I had it bouncing off of that peg.I had a 63 Ford Galaxie with a solid lifter 390 police intercepter motor and trans. It shifted the last shift in the 4 or 5 speed cast iron case automatic at 110.Only had 120 on the speedometer but the needle went way down into the dash, maybe 160,probably never wound it all the way out,but I had it way fast and airborne.64 Impala SS with a 4 bolt main 350 4 speed,64 Chevelle SS 4 speed, also had solid lifter cam and would really fly, beat a 69 440 Charger 2 out of 3 races,67 Mustang 302.Dont have any of them now.I do have a hot rod 302 motor and a hot rod 460 motor to put in something if I ever get to again.
