I gotta agree with B&D as oil is nothing but a controlled commodity. To prove my point, OPEC in a special session Friday, just cut crude production 1.5m/bll/day as crude is falling too fast for there liking and pocket book.
OPEC's next meeting is mid-December and they said they may have too call another special session to again cut crude production if crude will not stabilize at $50/bll.
I think all utility's should be controlled priced by the gov't. You can't have a bunch of uncontrolled rich basterds setting the pricing as we just found out.
Another pet peeve of mine, is our local electric utility (APS) raised rates high enough the past 10yrs to buy all the farm land SW of Phoenix, then built huge home tracks, 2500 too 10000 homes each project, then asked for another utility hike as they were running short of money.
Before APS bought the prime farm land, land was running about $7k/a, now it's $35k to $80k/a.
