Nephew has electric fencing withZareba Red Snapper Model cl150c 50 mile range 120 volt 60 hz. 3.5 va. Trouble is young 400 lb calf keeps getting out somehow. Rest of older cows and couple of horses stay in different fields but that one calf has become a regular houdini.Some times when we check the fence which is a 1/2 in wide tape imbedded with a wire like mesh the power is on at the start of the run but barely gives any snap at the end of the run. He has three strands on plastic posts and metal posts at about every 100 feet .Total length of fence is about three miles.Does anyone use electric fencing out there.
