Took in my 1st critter the other week. So far its worked out pretty good.We have eaten more beef in the last week than we have in the last year. As it turned out. We sold 1/2 the beef. That paid for the critter and all the feed I put into her Plus the proccessing. As this was our 1st one we had asked a few people who do this for a living. We ended up selling the 1/2 at live weight for $1.05 pound and the cust paid thier own proccessing. This seemed to work well. No missunderstandings about what they get for what price.
next year I think I will add a couple pigs. I really like pork. Ether that or make a trade :-)
