My Dad WW2 amphibious tank battalian,3 time wounded , 1915-aug 26-2008, veteran PACIFIC-THEATER survivor of battles for ,Saipan , Tinian ,Quaduline Islands and ,Luzon/Phillipines,, as of D-day ,11 young men in Our family were serving in Harms way , prompting My Dad;s Grandmother to instill upon the entire family to pray a Novena for their safe Return , AND ,All did RETURN on Dads side , however , Moms family side lost 2 in ww2 ,My small Mom and 2 aunts riveted inside airplane wings at Curtis- Wright in Louisville KY during WW2 ,Over the Yrs, Although serveral Cousins and Uncles ,have served no one lost life in Korea and only 1 lost life in Veitnam .. I can Only write of them ,,, And Therefore am the recipient and able to enjoy the Pleasure of LIFE ,LIBERTY ,and the PURSUIT of Happiness because OF THEIR SACRIFICES ,, SALUTE, To All... including the Rosey the riveter girls , WACs ,Nurses , MASH units.............. jim
