I have a Ford 2910. Recently I noticed that diesel fuel was leaking out of the fuel pump area but could not pinpoint it. The other day I finally realized that the fuel was weeping out of the throttle control. It was not actually leaking, just seeping very slowly but enough that I get a wet spot under the tractor. The other strange thing is that it doesn"t always happen.
Anyway, I took the throttle control apart and tried to see if I could somehow seal it but couldn"t find a gasket or anything. It"s just a post that rotates but can also be pushed down into the pump.
Is there any way to seal it up? Would I have to take the fuel pump apart to do so? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
