If he has cargo insurance you can make a claim on that if it is over 1,000.00 dollars as that is probably the deductable. If he doesn't then you will get to eat the bill. So if it was one of those cheap hauls then you got what you paid for. I carry half a million in cargo insurance and a million in liability. I'm not the cheap guy out there but reasonable and can give references if requested. I also leave cards with the people I haul for too.
