This time of year, I have an excuse to play around in the kitchen. So today I got to make a sweet potato pie, and I've got White Castle stuffing in the oven right now. I've not tried either recipe before, so it's all experimental. I've always liked sweet potato pie, and I'd always heard people rave about White Castle stuffing...so I'm gonna find out firsthand if I'm any good at cooking either.
Plans are to spend Thanksgiving with my wife's brother's and sister's families in Illinois, then come home for Thanksgiving leftovers with my daughter's family on Friday.
While this year hasn't been the best, in terms of material goods, I can give thanks for having the opportunity to watch that 15-month-old grandson of ours grow up. Money's tight, but life is good. God has blessed us, and my wish is that He bless each of you at least as much as he has blessed me and my family.
