You can mow with the bushhog and it will look good. The only thing that makes a bushhog cut yard look bad is that the clippings all pile up in a bunch. Cut the side out if you want it to look good with a bushhog. If you could find an old Woods belly mower for the Farmall it will keep a yard as pretty as a finish mower, only without all the headaches and up keep. The pto should'nt be a problem with it either way.
