5 acres of grass is a lot of grass I suggest that you use the Bush Hog on the grass away from the house and use the lawn mower around the house. It takes me About a hour to mow 3/4 of an acre on a lawn mower, so if you try to mow the grass on the riding mower you can look forward to about half a day of grass cutting.
