Canadian-Pacific Chistmas train comes through this farming area of New York ever year. Last two years we tried to see it, but missed it each time. We live on top of a mountain and can see it a few miles away - but it's hard to figure when it's going to come buy. It comes from Canada, and stops at various cities along the way - does not stop at rural areas inbetween.
Last night, after we promised out little kid we'd see it this time - we missed it again. But, hopped in our truck and overtook it where it had pulled over for a break on a railroad siding. So, we got ahead of it, parked by the tracks, and got to see it close up. It's a pretty neat thing to see out in the middle of nowhwere on a dark night.
