When I worked in the oilfield, the company had us use propane to do all our cutting and bending. I use acetylene for my torch work, because for me it's faster and you use less oxygen, especially when you're cutting anything over 1/2"thickness.
It's something how prices dropped so fast on metal. Cars were bring about $275 a ton a few months back. Now you're lucky to get$125/ ton for them
