Only clutch catalog I have that covers those years shows all Essex with the Hudson wet clutch, which works nicely, as long as the throwout bearing doesn"t leak oil and you remember to check it every so often... Our 36 was converted to dry clutch by local mech, but don"t recall what he used (and didn"t care at the time). Don"t know if the Hudson purists have any conversions or not.
