I'd have to go along with Tommy, to the extent anyway that if somebody would come in and get the lumber out for you it would be easiest on yourself and likely your wallet. Couple things, though, about loggers: 1. Be sure you know when they will show up and when they will get done, and be sure that meshes with whatever schedule you have for doing whatever with the place. Not to throw rocks at logging, but it's best to understand each other from the beginning. 2. Be sure everybody understands the end point. Like, exactly what the place is going to look like when it's all over. Are they going to remove all the stumps to your satisfaction, burn the slash, and so on, or will you or somebody else have to do that when the trees are gone. Either way you do it is fine, and will probably save you time, money and effort. Just try to minimize the surprise party afterward.
