I can't tell you the number of vapor cannisters and vent valves I've put in GM trucks for hard to fill w/gas or P0446. There is a bulletin on relocating the air intake for the vent valve up to the transmission area. My experience is they don't come back with a P0446 if you relocate the vent clear up to the master cylinder area under the hood. Problem is they suck road dust in through the valve and it clogs the carbon cannister. Thats the reason for the relocated vent.
