I don't know anything about the math involved, but I know my 1486 with 2 big 12s paralell starts way better than the neighors 1066 with the 2 3EH 6s in series. If anything the 10 has fresher motor, injector pump and batteries. My old 560 diesel starts better with one big 12 than the 2 6s it came out with, but I do keep a fairly new one in it most of the time by putting a new one in it whenever a pickup needs one and putting the old 560 battery in the pickup. With 2 12s paralel on a big tractor you have 2 cables carrying current to the solenoid instead of one with 2 6s. I have seen a few IHS like the 1066 with 2 long narrow 12s hooked paralell, but I've never tried it on the 856s. One neighbor used to put a different battery tray on on his 56 series and use one big 12 truck battery and he thought it was better and cheaper than the 2 6s, but i didn't like the way it looked. By the way Gary did you ever replace the 4-560 or fix it. I remember you wanted something you could operate the pto and throttle from the ground and the other day I thought about an 806 I saw that had a rod attached to throttle and routed to the back under the platform so you could operate it from the back.
