e-bay has some glaring problems of late. It is way too obvious that more than a few sellers have their wives & kids etc run up the bid. The bidder profile will say all past bidding was on women's shoes etc or kiddy dvd's and this one tractor bid. Now some sellers list private bidders only. There are a couple of auction businesses that have some kind of auction going within the e-bay auction. They want way too much info from you in order to bid on those items plus an additional buyer's fee. If you go to one of their live auctions and compare bids there & bids reported on the e-bay side, they don't always jive. Some of these sellers aren't smart enough to wait a few hours-when their phony bid tops yours, they offer you a second chance within minutes. No way the top bidder decided not to take the item. Hard to police. Unfortunately many real buyers are turned off I've bought about 22 tractors on e-bay, but few recently. Used to be wholesale but now the dealers are making it retail.
