Sorry to hear about your heater core, i think Ethylene Glychol is very posionous, so you may want to get the core changed out. These posts make me cringe as i am always reminded of the autos that i used to work on. Bought imports since the early 90"s, and havent been under the hood for anything other than to check the oil (never low, but do it out of habit), and oil changes.
Cant even look at anything other than a Toyota or Honda now. Have a Nissan, and think i will go with a Toyota in a decade or so when this one gets 250000+ miles. Plenty of time to save enough money to pay cash.
