Don't even think about a lease if your wife drives 75 miles per day. That's about 20,000 miles per year just for the commute. Most leases are based on 12,000 per year, so at the end of a 3 year lease you're going to owe close to $10,000 in mileage fees, plus you don't own anything for all the money you've paid in.
The only person I've seen a lease work for is a buddy of mine who leases a new Lincoln every three years to keep up the image of his engineering business. For him it's a tax deductable expense, and he never goes over the allotted miles.
