Diesels can turn coolant acidic. Check PH OR drain and replace every few years. Other than that, ordinary antifreeze will work just fine in a Perkins diesel.
Fill radiator until you see coolant plainly visable over the top of core/tubes. That's about 1" to 1-1/2" from top of tank.
