No, I've never overhauled one. I'd imagine like most things Cat that you're probably looking at 10-15 grand to do it right tho... I don't see why you couldn't or wouldn't rebuild it if the rest of the truck was really worth keeping. On the other hand, a guy can get a lot of decent used trucks out there today for 10 grand. If you got one the same as you have then you've got a handy parts department. You could also sell it as a glider, or get another engine yourself and stick that in it...
