How about the flip side and do you have anything you wished you WOULD have sold? About three years ago a man came to look at a Sherman Monroe Backhoe that I had bought at a farm sale about 20 years ago. He had the tractor that it came off of or a similar one. The person that had the sale had "kind of" made it to mount on a 3-point hitch. It worked okay, but if you had a very big job, it would have needed a lot of hydraulic oil and you would have needed a lot of time. Any way, this older man came to look at it and he decided he wanted it. I asked $500 and he agreed. Asked if I wanted a check now I said to wait and give it to me when he came to pick it up. He has never showed up. Don't know his name. Have asked several people who helped him get in touch with me what his name was and nobody can remember. Don't know if he died as he was pretty old! Anybody want a backhoe? Same price as I offered it to the old guy! On the other side, I had a 1970 GTO Judge that I got rid of back in the early 80's. The tranny was out of it for the second time and I couldn't keep head gaskets in it. Got rid of it for a motorcycle (only got rode a couple times) and $300. Never did get the $300. The guy that bought it had to put new brakes on it so he didn't think he needed to pay. I guess he was "right", since he didn't!!! Always hoped I was able to get even with him, but haven't seen him for a long time. His deed did not go unpunished though, as the car was sitting in a garage and the garage burned down!!! Sold the motercycle for $325 after having it take up room for about 5 years.
