Yes,there's an idea. Better than an H or M Farmall because they have better gearing for that kind of job. A lot of them had hydraulics. You could even go to a 1550 or 1600. I use a 1550 for raking. Like you said,smooth 6 cylinder power,not too bad on gas or diesel.
