In reality, if practical all grounds should be bonded together> Rationale: The potential from a lightening strike between two separate grounds can be twice as great as one ground. The distance between grounds greater than a few feet away however is not practical. The size of the bond (wire) between them will have to be too large to be practical in order to reduce the resistance to prevent excess current through the bond. Example Telephone, TV, and power entrances should be adjacent to one another and all bonded to a single ground rod. If it is on the order of 20' away for example a # 2 AWG copper wire would be required between the two grounds. Of course two different power sources would be no different.
