Hi Mark, i presently own a nuffield 10/42. i think it is a very well made and a very heavy duty one at that.it has the 3cyl BMC diesel engine and with a good heavy duty battery designed for diesels i have had no problems with starting in winter. i live in Massachuetts and doubt that we get winters like you do but with the right oil and perhaps a heater tied into the waterline of radiator i think that you should be find. there are a few things that i especially like about the nutfield and that is the implement lock .if driving down a road while carrying an implement i can set the lock and the arms of the 3pth.are locked up so i don't have to worry about checking the implement hieght.the one problem i have is finding certain parts like the rear pto seal or a shift boot cover for it. it also would be nice to have a few manuals for it. good luck Ed
