A couple of more factors/ #1 The analog transmitters are currently running full power and the dtv transmitters are running partial power until the analog transmitters are shut down. #2 The dtv signals are not being transmitted from the same towers as the same network's analog signal. The digital tower maybe farther away from from your antenna than the old analog signal.
