I have a Deere 2305, same motor size and tractor weight as the MF 1225, I think. I have a 4' cutter and I can use it no real problem except that when the cutter is raised it makes the tractor kind of tippy on the front end cause of all that weight on the back. My 2305 Deere weighs 1500 lbs. with the 1.1 liter diesel. Hope that helps.
