i have used the tisco kits and have not had any problems. the kits they sell on this site are good too. as far as the machine shop, have them do the crankshaft work and get the main and rod bearings for you. that way you are sure they are correct. they can go over the engine block, boil it out , check the deck and replace cam bearings. have the head serviced too, also have them check for any warpage. seems like what ever you cut a corner on will come back to haunt you. i'd have the injectors and the pump serviced also.
