Well I found out it is some kind of safety clutch for bush hogging and stuff. That explains the internals. And there definitely is a pin. I still need to get it off. How hard kin I wack on the pin with out bustin somethin in the gear case? Maybe hold a sledge on the back side or it for an anvil. Maybe I can drill it out if it aint hard.
