Airborne never seemed like a great company to deal with IMHO. I wonder how much trouble DHL had trying to shake that image.
I remember when I ordered my first laptop (back when they weren't all that common). The ABX guy pulled up to the open door of the barn (where our business was located), stepped out of his truck and threw the package through the door! It had fragile written all over it. I bet it was in the air for a good 15 feet.
Working in technology I had a lot of stuff come ABX/DHL. DHL was a lot better, ABX just made you shake your head.
