I have the JD 175 Hydro tractor built 1990 w/14hp Kawasaki engine. After about an hour of mowing tractor loses power due to fuel starvation my best guess is vaporlock.I verified this by cooling the carb float bowl with water from garden hose then tractor runs fine.Or,by momentarily disconnecting the fuel line from fuel pump to carb I get reverse pressure then fuel filter fills up with gas again.I replaced the fuel pump, all fuel lines, and checked fuel pickup tube to tank.Tonight I removed the carb, suspecting a bad fuel shutoff solenoid or plugged vent passages. When cold, tractor is very hard starting, needing several minutes of cranking before fuel gets to the engine to start.Any ideas?
