I've about sworn off the cheap junk. I've always shopped on basis of price, and it's come home to roost more than once. The Chinese seem to abandon models if they turn out badly, and overnight, there are no parts and no support. Dealers come and go frequently.
About the only exception is non-impact non-cutting hand tools that are used very infrequently- Harbor Freight still gets a little business from me on those. But no more chisels, drill bits or anything else that needs quality steel.
