Depending on your location, it's getting late in the year for good results on this. Hot summer sun & drier conditions makes poor grass. You want to seed that stuff shortly after the frost is gone to give it a good start. Otherwise, you want level, firm soil, and plant the seeds very shallow, then drag or perferably pack it down. --->Paul
