The problem of this economic crisis was caused by a few things the government did/did not do. (1) allowed banks to sell mortgages (2) failure to oversee what the lenders were doing and (3) most importantly a government social program that tried to put anyone into a home with a bad mortgage scheme. Now we think the govenment can fix the economy. It always amazes me that Americans don't like what our government does but we want them to do more of it.
