hey folks, am considering buying a 1974 ford 2000 tractor with a gas engine. it is a one owner, appears to have been shed keep most of its life. paint is faded but good, sheet metal in excellent condition. tires appear to be orginial with good tread but with some weather cracking. it is a 4 speed hi/lo. proof meter shows 1400 hrs. and tractor appears as if it could be correct. there is no slop in the steering, it does not have power steering. it has only been cranked occassionaly in the last 3 years. any thoughts on how good these tractors were and an approx. price. yes i will try to get pictures next weekend. it will come with a nice 2 bottom ford (blue) plow, and an old ferguson 2 row plow (circlular wheel type with the round tubular frame). it is located in nw alabama.
