This is a link to a list of weeds controlled by Raptor. We just talked about Raptor in alfalfa in field crop production class today. Prof made a point to say Raptor is a very expensive herbicide. I would recommend looking at Poast Plus or Select for annual and perennial grass weed control.
Jared, First you should be commended for futhering your education. I have a question for you to as your Prof. about him saying it was to expensive. If he is talking about yield (tons per acre)the decrease in yield would be less because the average amound of grass and weed in Alfalfa is between 35& & 50% So killthe weeds and the yield per acre drops. The RFV of the hay will go up and so should the CP and the price per ton will go up. Many people who make hay are interested in how many bales they get. Look in the Hay Grower Magazine and notice the difference in price for select Alfalfa and good Alfalfa> It ranges from $50 to $75 per ton. There is a lot of thinks to consider before you say "It is to exspensive.
