Bendee, Can"t speak as to the cause of the others, but mine was because of bone spurs. The spurs rubbed on the tendons in my shoulder and wore them thin. A little extra physical activity and they all snapped like a rubber band. Waited about a month while using various rubs, heat, cold, all no help. Finally gave up and went to the doctor and then to the surgeon. My shoulder was torn up pretty bad. Surgeon had a heck of a time pulling the tendons back up to reattach to my shoulder. Had to put eight screw anchorages into the bone. It wasn"t anything that could have been prevented, just age and wear and tear on the old body. Talking to the local surgeon, said he does about six to eight of these a week. So, it must be pretty common. After six months of intense physical therapy, I can do anything that I want with my shoulder. Used a chainsaw day before yesterday and pulled brush all day long. No problems
