Boy what a lot of BS on this list. I had Dish for 6 or 7 years never had a bit of trouble they upgraded my equipment at no cost to me an were really pleasant on the phone. Now I have DrectTV and the picture an quality are the same but I'm going nuts trying to find all my favorite programs there not in the same place as Dish.
The big difference I don't care for is my extra TV has a different box that is not controlled from the main TV. Dish had one box that you setup to be the same or different channels I liked that part. Another thing I don't like about DTY is when the power flicks on an off it takes forever for the unit to reset itself I'm thinking of putting a power supply on it to keep it going during these little flicks in the power that we get out here in the country. Also you can record two programs at once on DTV. I guess its just what you like. One other thing out here on the west coast we lost ABC because of a dispute with the company that owns all of the ABC station up an down the coast. That was why I switched to DVT other than that I would have stayed with Dish. One other thing the satellites are right next to each other and the dish is pointing in the same direction as my old one. As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
